Some anniversaries are not for celebrating...

Somehow, writing about it wasn't enough.

I wish I could tell you that everything's going to get better, but you and I both know that there are no promises with epilepsy.

The not knowing must be the most difficult part for you and Fawn. The only "positive" I hope it brings you, and I can tell it has, is that with each day you rejoice being able to celebrate Jade's presence in your lives. That each day, you don't sleep walk through life as most of us do who take for granted our lives, and the lives of those we love!

That was a beautiful telling of a most difficult story...But, a story that has not ended, yet!!

I have no wise or comforting words to say - just know that I'm here, hoping all the best for you, Fawn and Jade in this.

You all are fighters, I am so proud for both of you done for Jade. Love

Jade couldn't ask for better parents and, of course, we all hope the diet will work and Jade will eventually (sooner rather than later) become seizure-free.

In a weird and painful way, adversity is making you a stronger, better person.

Good luck and stay positive! Seems like Jade has come a long way over the year, and it will no doubt keep going.

My daughter also suffers from seizures, and I found that you describe the feeling very well. I remember the 1st one she had as an infant, it was awful, i was powerless, all you can do is watch the seconds tick away agonizingly slowly and pray it stops. Yet for all the bad, there is an amazing amount of good in each child and I can't imagine my life without her.
